Prosperity, peace, happiness and longevity all symbolize the Chinese New Year, one of the most important and festive Chinese holidays. This is the “Year of the Dragon” and beginning today, January 23, P.F. Chang’s China Bistro and P.F. Chang’s Home Menu want to ignite your good fortune and share the spirit of this holiday with you with some great giveaways and promotions!
Restaurant Celebrations:
In honor of the 15-day Chinese celebration, guests who visit any P.F. Chang’s from January 23 through February 6, 2012 will receive a red envelope containing an unknown reward. On the guests’ next visit, a P.F. Chang’s manager or server will open the envelope and reveal its contents. The secret offer could be a discount on the meal (10%-50%), a free appetizer or dessert and must be redeemed by March 4, 2012.
Did You Know?
Red envelopes are a traditional Chinese gift of the New Year and the red color symbolizes good luck while warding off evil spirits.
Facebook Promo:
Starting on January 24th, Fans of P.F. Chang’s can open a virtual red envelope through February 13 and enjoy a fortune, a coupon for a P.F. Chang’s Home Menu frozen meal and t-shirt, or a $25 P.F. Chang’s restaurant gift card.

Well, while my daughter was born in 2000, also a year of the dragon, and she’s wonderful & very smart, as far as those attributes, I would nominate my 16 yo son as a dragon. He spent a few days of his Christmas break on a mission in Skid Row of Los Angeles, feeding the homeless at a shelter & then going out into the streets (in a group with adult supervision) to meet homeless, talk to them & take them to lunch. He’s worked very hard in school this year & improved his grades dramatically. He’s interning at church & playing in the church band. He can play a few different instruments very well even though he’s received little instruction, and has written a few songs. And, when something is bothering or troubling him, he comes to me to discuss it. I’m so proud of him; he’s growing up to be a fine man.
I would nominate my grandson.

My husband, he’s my rock.
For 72 years,my dad has been the go to guy for any problem, not just for our family, but for friends and neighbors as well. I nominate him.
I have to give props to my neighbor. She is a SAHM of 4 boys under 4. Her husband owns his own business and she does all of his bookkeeping, usually with a baby or two in her arms. Her life is crazy busy, but she always has a smile on her face! I don’t know how she does it!
