My boys are 3 and 6…. so I am sure you know that they like to be outside, getting dirty and causing michief! I am typically a working mom but during the summer I revert back to a stay at home more and can I tell you that I have no clue how to keep these guys busy, happy and entertained!
Lately, I have found some great toys that my boys love!
My youngest LOVES Hot Wheels so I often find myself stpping on them in the middle of the night… Can you say ouch! For his birthday he received Hot Wheels Wall Tracks and he is in love! He could not wait to get this out of the box and on the wall. I could not wait to get to get them off the floor and on the wall!
Another fun favorite of his is the Matchbox Cliffhanger: Take play off the floor and beyond the table for over-the-edge excitement. The mid-sized police station and airport hangar create the ultimate adventure, featuring multiple levels of interactive play ($16.99) What I love about this is that it is super portable. He enjoys hanging it off the play equipment at the park or outside on our patio table so it is “like a real airport”!
Both my boys love Matchbox Big Boots characters and vehicles. This is also a great travel toy for toddlers, these portable figures are real stand-up guys—their weighted feet allow them to stand upright no matter how hard my boys try to knock them off the table. This is one of those toys that both my boys enjoy… now only if they could play peacefully together for more than 3 minutes!
Ok so it would not be fun if I did not mention my favorite toy of the moment. I am in love with the Barbie® Dolls of the World collection. These take girls on an international adventure, the Barbie Dolls of the World collection is an interactive, educational and fun way for girls to “travel around the world from home” this summer ($29.95). I know that if I was still young enough to play Barbies on th elawn like I used to every summer as a child, then I totally would with these.
I highly recommend all these toys for you and your kids to play and “stay cool” this summer!
