I have a “Little Chef” in my house. He loves to be included in all the cooking and baking that goes on. So his holiday list includes items that will help him be more involved in the kitchen. “Beeferoni” and his little brother both want “cooking and kitchen” items from Santa this year.
Here are some items that I have found this year that look promising for my boys and I wanted to share them with you too!
Head Chef are “Cool Tools” for kids and parents. Head Chefs lines of utensils are designed to make kitchen time fun for chefs of all ages. Healthy eating habits develop early, by providing your youngsters with The Head Chefs kids products, suggested cooking tips and recipes you can help to start them off on a lifelong love of cooking healthy, nutritious and fun dishes.
Professional and home chefs love Head Chefs Sil-pins, the “original” silicone no-stick rolling pins and Base Bowls, the Better Bakers Bowl. All Head Chefs products are made of high quality silicone, metals and materials.Products are dishwasher safe and will stand up to all the love and attention you and your children will devote to them. Head Chefs is always bringing new products into the family with basic functional tools and new additions coming all the time.
Next, Step 2 makes some great toys to spark your child imagination. My boys love to play kitchen and grocery store. So the next two products are perfect gift ideas for them.
The Step 2 Master Kitchen is a great value ($110) and is exclusively sold at Toysrus.
The Step2 Lifestyle Master Chef Kitchen features:
- Multi-level counter tops
- Sink and swivel faucet
- 2 stove burners
- 36 pc accessory set
- 5 electronic features include microwave, oven, stove, phone and light
I love that this kitchen is gender neutral and “oh so much fun!”. I am not kidding, You will find my playing in this kitchen many days of the week – with my kids of coarse (sssh!). This is a great kitchen for different ages of kids and it does not take up a large amount of room so it is a nice toy for small areas. Also, it was not that terrible to assemble. It does ship in two boxes but the actual assembly was not too terrible (honest!)
Also from Step 2 The Little Helpers Shoppers Cart is another great gift for the little chef in your life. Kids can really shop till they drop with this easy-to-push, super durable grocery cart. This cart is designed with a low and wide shape making it easy to handle, even for early walkers We love the large, durable wheels roll smoothly. It also features a wide open basket space that provides trouble-free access to items inside . There is even seat space is perfect for a favorite doll or stuffed animal. Oh and I must mention that it ships fully assembled for instant out-of-the-box play! It comes in pink, red, or green so it is perfect for all our little shoppers! It retails for between $30-40.
Next, for my “Squeaker Man” (16 months) I decided to buy LeapFrog Cook and Play Potsy for only $9 on Amazon (use code M885TY3L to get the extra $1 off). This was a steal since the regular price is $22.

Lastly, here is a toy my boys have both played with for years. The Fisher-Price Fun-2-Learn 2-In-1 Learning Cash Register is a hit in my house and works great with a set of play food and a shopping cart. We have had it for a long time and it has held up and is well worth the purchase. I got mine during a Target sale for a great price so keep you eyes peeled.
So does anyone else out there have any other great gift ideas for “little chefs and shoppers”? I would love to hear them!
