Until my daughter was out of college, her and I traveled to a new city every spring break. These trips bring back such good memories.
My mom was at 2 out of 3 births. The first time I was 17 and alone. she was my support. The last birth I was married and 31. She was there along with my husband. My mom was my strength that day.
My mother was my best friend. I am so sorry that I do not have that kind of relationship with my own daughter. My mom used to call me at 6 PM each workday and ask me what I was still doing at work. ( Usually I was tutoring a student.) It was just so nice to know that she cared. I also knew that she was proud of me when I made Professor. Her friends told me that she was telling everyone at church that her daughter was a Professor. I miss you, Mom. Happy Mother’s Day in Heaven!
The first time my baby learned to “smile” it was so precious….just melts my heart : )
My special moment with my daughter was when we took a train trip to NYC by ourselves. It was the first time we did the 2 hour trip alone and we had a great time!
I love going shopping with my mother. Since she didn’t drive on the highway, we pack in my car and drive over two hours to go to the outlets to spend the day and ususally the night. Between that and going to bingo, best moments together.
