A Date Night Basket
Weeks after the baby is born a couple may look at each other one evening and realize they’re ready for a date night! How about creating a date night basket that includes things to create a romantic evening at home. Use a box or basket and fill it with scented candles, DVD’s and snacks that they can use after their baby has gone to bed. They can then use these contents to create a cinema date in their living room, where they can enjoy a film together while eating sweets and popcorn. Alternatively, you can fill the basket with cooking instructions and ingredients for a quick and delicious meal. This will encourage them to cook the meal together and spend time in one another’s company. It may not be quite the same as going to the movies or a fancy restaurant, but it’s probably just what they need at the time. Just remember to consider the couple’s personality and tastes to choose suitable contents for your gift basket. With a bundle of joy to care for and routines to get used to, there is not always time for romance when you’re a new parent. But that doesn’t mean that date nights have to stop and you can help them be ready when the moment strikes!

A Midnight Snack Basket
Having a baby often means late night feedings and diaper changes. This can make the new parents in your life feel hungry themselves or in need of an energy boost. So why not create a midnight snack gift basket they can delve into. You can include cute mugs or thermal flasks with tea bags and coffee granules. This will be ideal for helping them stay awake during their baby’s feeds and can also assist them to get to sleep afterward. Baked goods are another fantastic addition to this basket. During their disrupted evenings they can snack on brownies, cookies or cupcakes for a sweet treat. Not only will this satisfy their hunger but also give them some extra energy without having to cook anything. You can bake these yourself or buy them from a local bakery, depending on your baking capabilities. Books and magazines could also be a useful addition to this baskets to give them entertainment. This is a thoughtful idea for new parents that can also be used for sleepovers and housewarming gifts. Just remember to consider the dietary requirements of the couple, whether the new mom is nursing and any food allergies they might have.

They can keep this basket in their nursery or bathroom and only use it when their supplies run out. This will be a fabulous backup that can reduce stress and keep their newborn happy.
