I decided to name my boys names that were not very popular. I just kept thinking in my head about how much I wanted them and their name to be “unique”. I did not want there to be five kids in their kindergarten class with the same name…but now I realize the downfall of this thought process. You know when you go tot a theme park and you look at all those mugs and key chains with personalized names on them… well my boys can never find them…EVER! I remember being a kid and being excited to find my name amongst all the other keychains. So now I feel sort of bad…Does this make me a bad mom? No, I guess not but I do want them to have personalized items to cherish.
Upon searching for unique baby shower gifts, I found Picture Your Street. Picture Your Street locates and photographs street signs featuring first names, just like my name (which I know is not the most unique one in the world but it is mine lol)… Sara Drive!
These unique and hip photos are available for purchase online, the products range in size from Single Photo Framed to Double, Triple and Quad (all under $100).
These would make for a chic, unique gift for the new baby! Each of the framed products feature 5×7″ glossy black and white prints under glass. Each photo is dry mounted onto foam core, matted with white top over black mat. The frames vary in size but are all framed with a 3/4″ matte finish black wood frame. The products are handled by framing professionals in the USA with a commitment to quality. The gallery of photos range from common first names to not-so common ones. And while the collection is growing every day, they also take custom requests at info@pictureyourstreet.com.
Let me tell you, they did have my youngest son Zeke’s street in a picture but they did not have my oldest Kai’s street when I first talked to them BUT they were able to locate a “Kai Street” in Sarasota and I am super psyched! So if you need a certain unique name just let them now and I am sure they will do the very best to get you your photo. They went over and above what I ever could have expected.
More than one child?
These are great! I have one that is our family’s last name (but is not on a street sign.) I have a black family room and this would be a very nice addition. I’m also picturing what the Duggar’s (19 kids and counting) frame would look like- LOL!
Thanks Heather! Hysterical- to date we have 15 of 21 Duggers! Would love to see that family photo collage wall!
