At the beginning of each school year I create a school survival kit for my classroom. One of the first items I place in my kit is Wet Ones! Yes, I teach high school but even the “big kids” need Wet Ones. I am not kidding that I get asked numerous times a day for a “wipe” from my desk by my students. Plus I use them every couple minutes it seems to wipe down everything in my room! These are so handy! I recommend every student walk in to class with a pack of these for their teacher on the first day!
More about Wet Ones:
The first line of defense against the spread of germs is washing hands often. Wet Ones® Antibacterial Hand Wipes are an effective solution to keeping hands clean when soap and water are not available or convenient.
Germs spread when a person coughs or sneezes, or touches something that is contaminated with bacteria and then touches their eyes, nose or mouth.
Wet Ones® Antibacterial Hand Wipes are clinically proven to be just as effective as gel hand sanitizers in killing 99.99 percent of germs, but they also clean away dirt and messes without drying skin like alcohol-based hand sanitizers.
Wet Ones® Antibacterial Hand Wipes are also portable and convenient, so they can be discreetly tucked into school lunches, brought on airplanes or used whenever a sink is out of reach.
Features and Benefits:
- Kills 99.99% of germs
- Hypoallergenic and enriched with skin-conditioning aloe
- Perfect for quick clean-ups of dirt and messes
- Available in two great scents – Fresh Scent and Citrus

keeping my kid healthy and happy means a good BALANCE of DOWNTIME! We do alot during the school year…Tae Kwon Do, Religious Ed classes, Fall Baseball season, now Chess club…AND he has to keep up with me and come to my second job in our church nursery…. AND do his homework…AND chores…he’s a busy, busy 8 yr old (almost 9) So I HAVE to make some total, veg-out, kick back, be lazy time in there for him….without it, he is run ragged and has deep, dark circles under his eyes!
I like Dr. Sears comments on keeping a kid active…. I do believe that getting off the couch and just PLAYING is sometimes just the best “medicine” ever!

I keep my kids happy and healthy by teaching them to wash their hands ALL THE TIME at school they carry hand sanitizer when they cant run & wash up. Always cough or sneeze in a tissue. use a paper towel or sleeve on bathroom door handles. Always wash before lunch and after every recess
They are all fabulous tips. I love
5.
Keep Your Children Active: Movement mobilizes the immune system. Kids who sit too much – especially indoors – get sick more often. Movement also mellows the mood, as stress depresses the immune system.
so true!
