Use a Rubik’s Cube to Teach Math with a Twist! (Giveaway!) – Closed

rubiks Being a high school special education teacher, I am always on the hunt for new and fun ways to teach my students the standards but I still want to make my lessons fun and interesting. Recently, I was introduced to the mathematical possibilities that at a Rubik’s Cube holds. It never occurred to me all the different math concepts that could be taught using this fun toy!Teach Math with a Twist

Holding the Rubik’s Cube, twisting and turning the parts, can help children of all ages grasp important math concepts including area, perimeter, volume, angles, algorithms and enumeration, among many other geometry and algebraic topics. Some teachers are even using the Rubik’s Cube to teach life lessons and 21st Century Skills such as focus, following directions, memorization, sequencing, problem solving, critical thinking, and perseverance.
