I know that I do not have to tell you that traveling with little ones can be stressful! It is a lot of work simply to pack for a toddler or in my case 2 little ones! I run around my house grabbing all the necessary items and then I try with all my might to get them into my suitcases but there is never anyway all the essentials are going to fit in!
You know what I am talking about, just to stay, even one night, at a hotel with a baby, you need:
- playpen
- car seat
- portable highchair
- food/formula/bottles
- bibs
- bath gears
- diapers/wipes
- blankets
- pjs/shoes/clothes (extra clothes and more extra clothes!)
- toys and entertainment of all sorts
- comfort items – because they are not at home where they feel safe and secure
- a night light
- outlet covers
- pacifiers
and everything else I forgot! Oh and the baby!
Thankfully, Marriott Hotels has Us Covered!
Seriously, this is exciting news for my family. We are already huge Marriott fans but now
that Marriott has announced the Tots Travel Too program we are even bigger fans (if that possible!)
Introducing Tots Travel Too™, a program designed to make travel easier for families with young children, available at more than 2,500 Courtyard, Fairfield Inn & Suites, SpringHill Suites, Residence Inn and TownePlace Suites hotels in the continental U.S. and Canada.
Visit www.marriott.com/totsTravel2 for more information about the program.
The complimentary Tots Travel Too program provides guests, upon request, with a travel crib and laundered COVERPLAY® removable crib slipcover to ensure their “traveler-in-training” can rest comfortably. For a bit of bath time fun, a complimentary gift comes with the COVERPLAY, an animal squirtie toy. In addition, parents who have forgotten to pack their tot’s essentials can contact the front desk for complimentary items, including outlet covers, nightlights, baby shampoo, and baby lotion, plus disposable bibs will be available in the breakfast areas.
SO what do you think! I love the idea of not having to pack the playpen, bath toys or bath wash, bibs, outlet covers (which I would have forgotten anyway!). Not having to pack these item might actually make some room for my own items in my suitcase!
Thanks Marriott for thinking of our little ones!

My best tip is BOOKS of all kinds. From coloring, to books for mom & dad to read to them, to books on tape even that they can listen to. Lots of snacks and movies help too. Traveling is a time to use all the mommy helps we can get without worrying about super mom syndrome.

If you are traveling by car my best tip is to plan for extra stops. Kids need to get out and burn off some energy.
I’m an email subscriber.
I follow with google friend connect.
Coloring books and colored pencils. Crayons can melt in a hot car.
My tip is to make sure you have their favorite toy/blankie/comfort item, and to not forget it when you leave the hotel!
My best tip is to be sure to bring stuff to keep them busy! We bought a little dvd player for the 1 and only vacation we have ever taken with all 4 of our boys! I would LOVE to have a night or two away with the boys where we could stay in a hotel and SWIM and relax!
I am following you publicly! (I actually stopped by from Pitch It Friend & Follow and couldn’t resist entering this giveaway!)
My best tip would be to remember to bring some of their fave comfort items like a blanket, pillow or stuffed friend so they won’t feel scared….also try to take them somewhere to tire them out if you can, it helps with the sleeping part

The best way to travel with a toddler is to keep things consistent. Sleep, meals and exercise and quiet times are all important. If your toddler needs to be quiet for a length of time have a vrgorous play session before to burn up energy so a nap will be just the thing. At airports we had games like follow the leader, simon says or jump roping(away from other travelers).
i never bring a toddler with me/ i usually have someone watch him.
When traveling in the car a DVD has saved us! When staying in a hotel I make sure that things are consistent as possible. I take the pack-n-play for our youngest, his favorite blanket. I also make sure I have other things that are familiar and comforting to them.
We try to pack two goody bags. One for while we are traveling (aka in the car) and one for while we are there. That way they don’t get bored with the activities by the end and the ride home isn’t melt down central.

We take favorite Dvds and a portable player, books and other small toys. We also take our pack n play (a given).

My best tip for staying in a hotel with a toddler is taking a backpack with activities and favorite items that will make them more comfortable and relaxed in an unfamiliar surrounding.
When traveling with my toddler, I bring ziplock bags to every restaurant. My leftover veggies or a muffin from the continental breakfast sure comes in handy at snacktime!
