Lady and the Tramp: A Movie for Girls? Heck No

Boy was I wrong to think my boys would not want to watch Lady and the Tramp with me! For some reason I had it in my head that Disney’s Lady and the Tramp was a movie for the Ladies. Shame on me, right?

My son came home this week telling me he wanted to watch, Lady and the Tramp for Movie Night because he needed to see the “Noodle Scene”. I was more than happy to oblige! They were awestruck!

Luckily, The Diamond Edition of Lady and the Tramp was just released on Blu- Ray and Dvd on February 7th! Just in time for a Valentine’s movie night with my three favorite boys!

Synopsis: A classic love story unfolds in the best Disney tradition as a lovely young pedigreed cocker spaniel named Lady, who lives a pampered life, finds herself falling romantically for Tramp, an amorous street-smart pooch without prospects. Although they have fun
together on several dates, including a sentimental spaghetti dinner by moonlight at Tony’s restaurant, their relationship is strained not only by Lady’s loyalty to her human family and their newborn baby, but by Tramp’s devil-may-care attitude that eventually gets Lady in trouble and tossed into the dog pound. However, good-hearted Tramp redeems himself by saving the baby from potential harm and thus wins Lady’s love and the affection of her human family.

Film Synopsis:

Balancinggritty action and emotional heart, “Real Steel” is an inspiring and visuallystunning film that takes audiences on an action-packed journey. Washed-up boxerCharlie Kenton (Hugh Jackman) scrapes by as a small-time robot-fight promoter ashe tries to make a comeback. Against all odds he eventually succeeds—at leastin the eyes of his son Max (Dakota Goyo). “Real Steel” is spectacular family entertainment that will have everyone cheering again and again.

 My Two Cents:

Had you asked my a couple months ago if I planned to see this movie, I would have said, “heck no!”. I mean boxing and robots are not… now do you say, my style. But this weekend for movie noight I was outnumbered by my boys. I figured I would get some laundry done and some computer stuff finished up but I quickly found that Real STeel had reeled me in. The initial bait I have to admit was Hugh Jackman (lol), I love him but I soon found myself drawn into the heartwarming story. Honestly the boing is a backstory to the father/son storyline. My hubby and son liked it alot as well but maybe not as much as I did which truly surprised me! This is a great family night movie that will please everyone!
