$600 Amex Gift Card Winning Recipe!

After much deliberation and consulting with my family, it has been decided that the winning recipe for the $600 American Express Gift Card is:

Cheater Chicken & Dumplings

by Joanne (jlritter68@)

Put the following into your crock pot on high

3 cans of cream of chicken soup
1 cup chicken broth
3 boneless skinless chicken breasts
1/2 diced onion

After 4 hours open crock pot and remove chicken breasts (leave the crock pot on high, you will still be using it). Shred the chicken with two forks. Put the shredded chicken back in the crock pot.

Get out a package of Pillsbury biscuits. Cut each biscuit into 12 pieces with a pizza cutter. Pop the biscuit pieces into the crock pot. Then add a bag of frozen mixed vegetables. Stir till everything is mixed in.

Continue to cook on high for 2 hours. Do not open the crock pot or else the biscuits won’t cook.

This is the recipe that I found easy enough for me to cook and yummy enough for my family to enjoy! There were so many great recipes that I had the worst time picking just one! Thanks to everyone who shared, I will definitely be using these recipes in my kitchen!siggydealiciousmomnew_thumb3

Here is my  ingredient recipe for this week. My kids love this one but I love it more since it is great in a pinch. It takes no time at all and it is yummy!

Lazy Lasagna

Hands-On Time: 10 minutes
Ready In: 30 minutes
Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

1/2 cup minced onion

2 carrots, grated (or other veggies of your family’s liking)

1 garlic clove, minced

1 (14-ounce) package frozen cheese ravioli, unthawed

1 (14-ounce) jar marinara sauce

1/2 pound sliced provolone

Directions

1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

2, Heat some vegetable oil in an ovenproof 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat, then sauté the onion, carrots, and garlic until the onion is translucent, about 3 minutes. Season to taste with salt, pepper and herbs. Transfer the onion mix to a bowl.

3. Arrange the still-frozen ravioli (breaking them apart if they’re clumped) in one layer in the skillet and sprinkle with the onion mix. Ladle the marinara sauce evenly over the ravioli. Over medium heat, without stirring, cook everything until the ravioli are heated through and beginning to brown on the bottom (gently lift one with a fork to check), about 10 minutes.

4. Remove the skillet from the heat, then arrange the provolone slices over the sauce. Bake the lasagna in the middle of the oven until the cheese is melted, which should be about 10 minutes.
