Wishing you all a happy and safe 4th of July!
See you around real soon!
Here is another festive 4th of July dessert! This one actually pops in your mouth!
Total time: 1 hour, 25 minutes | Makes 12
For the cupcakes and frosting:Use 1 batch of Easy Yellow Cupcakes OR I like to use Funfetti Mix to give the recipe that firework effect and 1 batch of Easy Cream Cheese Frosting or a tub of cream cheese frosting from your favorite frosting brand. Make as directed.
To decorate: Frost the cupcakes and top each with one 1-inch piece red licorice twist (for the firecracker stick), one 1-inch piece black shoelace licorice (for the fuse), and ½ teaspoon Pop Rocks candy (for the sparks). I also like to top with a cherry with stem still intact (think cherry bomb)
Recipe modified from Real Simple Magazine. Photo also from Real Simple Magazine. My cupcakes are not nearly as pretty!

This promotion runs through the 4th of July holiday, allowing anyone with an online connection a simple and concrete way to say thanks.
The Flag Cake recipe is perfect for sharing with friends and family as we honor members of the military. Just one recipe view provides a full two minute free phone call from a current service member overseas to home. Every $1 raised provides 20 minutes of talk time for service members. When you are able to hear the voice of a loved one for two minutes or twenty minutes, the value of those phone calls is impossible to measure.

A tradition in my house are patriotic white chocolate dipped strawberries! YUM!
These only take about 10 minutes at the most and my son can do almost all of it and he loves that he can take credit for making the entire thing! Love this!
They look so festive and fun!
All you need is a container of strawberries, 1 Bottle blue sugar sprinkles and 1 bag white chocolate chips.
My name is Sara, I am a wife, a mom to 2 jokers also known as my little boys (a 5 year and 2yr old!), and a Special Education High School teacher...not sure I have room for anything else but I sure can try!
