So In the End, Is the Palm Pre Plus Really Smart Enough For This Mom?

Well, here we are, one month later and I am still quite happy with my new Palm Pre Plus. I was hesitant at the beginning to leave my old smartphone behind. I was used to it and I good use it in the dark with one hand tied behind my back but I must happily admit that I am thrilled that I took the leap to the Palm Pre.

Here’s what I love:

  • the touchscreen makes it very easy to navigate
  • closing and switching between programs and apps with a swipe of my finger is fun and easy
  • staying up to date with appointments on the calendar that is right on bottom of the screen.
  • the sleek compact design
  • the picture quality and ease of taking pictures is fantastic!

There were a couple things I did not enjoy about the Palm. I found the keys to be a bit small for my taste. My husband has a hard time dialing with the Palm Pre. I also found that a couple of the key features that Palm is using to market this phone (i.e. the mobile hotspot) are great selling points but they cost extra and that is not very frugal! I would like to be able to use these features with out the extra cost they entail.

The bottom line:

I love this phone and as I mentioned in an earlier post, my husband and I have been arguing about who gets to keep it. I think I am actually going to get another one so we can each have one. I guess I really can’t recommend a product more highly than to say I am going to buy another one!

So to answer my title question – yes I do believe the Palm Pre Plus is smart enough for a mom or at least for this mom! It keeps my on track, connected, organized, and happy!
