Can the devilishly heavy metal of Black Sabbath be transformed into soft and gentle music ideal for baby’s nursery? Of course, when it’s the latest album of soothing rock song instrumentals from Rockabye Baby, the innovative children’s music label that has made the music of such loud and proud artists as Led Zeppelin, Guns N’ Roses and AC/DC a hit with cradle rockers and the parents who love them.

How do they do it? The sweet and tender sounds of glockenspiel, vibraphone, Mellotron, harps and bells turn down the volume from an 11 to a 2, helping little devils drift off to a restful slumber at naptime or bedtime.

Here are my “two cents”:

These Rockabye Baby! cds make the best baby shower gifts because they are unique and useful. These cds really help soothe both cranky baby and cranky parents! I listen to them all the time even when my sons aren’t around. They are soothing instrumental versions of very familiar songs and I honestly recommend them to all my friends with young kids. This new version of Black Sabbath songs does not disappoint.
