I just saw that the Amazon Kindle price has dropped to only $189. Totally bummed since my family just bought 2 of these last week! I wonder if I can get my money back….
Great deal though – both my sister and my dad love their Kindles! This makes a great gift for book lovers or active parents who love to read but can’t find a spare minute to sit down and read!

My name is Sara, I am a wife, a mom to 2 jokers also known as my little boys (a 5 year and 2yr old!), and a Special Education High School teacher...not sure I have room for anything else but I sure can try!

You CAN get your money back with Amazon. If the price drops within 30 days of a purchase, it’s very easy to do.
Here is how:
1. Login to your Amazon account and look up recent purchases, and compare purchased price to current list price (the prices do change, and even go up on occasion).
2. Note down the Order number, date purchased, purchase price, and current price.
3. Go to: http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/contact-us/returns-and-refunds.html/
4. Let it pull your recent orders and you can arrow through the choices
5. Click the button to “Contact Us by Email”
4. From the drop down subject line choose “Refund Inquiry”
5. Paste the order number into the proper field.
6. Drop them a note with all the information (Order number, date purchased, purchase price, and current price)
That’s it… you’re done. It works!! You should get an email back a little while later telling you that your account will be credited.
This is a little known Amazon secret
Well, except now you know too!
What if you bought it at Target?
Sharon, thanks SO much. I called Amazon customer service this morning and was told “sorry, but no” on the price match. That just didn’t seem right so I started search on the Web and came across your post. I did exactly what you said and an hour later I had my refund. Awesome tip – thanks for sharing.
