From food to flight, 1935 was a year for legends:  Monopoly debuted.  Elvis Presley was born.  And two iconic cans appeared on store shelves: Dinty Moore^® products and Hormel^® chili.

Today, these brands can be found in virtually every pantry in America, including my own!

My son’s personal favorite chili recipe is what we lovingly call, “Chili dogs in a bowl”. The recipe is simple. Cook up some Hormel chili and then mix in some precooked hot dogs! Serve with cheese on top! I personally like to eat my “Chili dog in a bowl” inside of a corn tortilla but the boys of the house like it straight out of a bowl! Yum and you simply an not make it with anything but Hormel chili!
