After 20 or so years of waiting patiently, the christmas gift I have been wishing for for finally came! For many, many of my childhood years I yearned for an EASY-BAke Oven and last month my dream came true! I am not sure I should be telling you all that upon opening the delivery box containing the oven, I let out a very ”child on christmas morning” scream. Too bad we did not get it on camera…

Excited would be an understatement. This EASY-BAKE Ultimate Oven is COOL. The new updated version does not even need a light bulb!  The inside heats up to 375 degrees but the outside barely gets warm to the touch! Plus, the new design is so hip. How could anyone resist it!

Of course, I had to try out a recipe or two before handing over to my neice (well maybe not handing it over as much as her prying it out of my hands…). I decided to try these Red Velvet cupcakes. So simple and who would have thought I would have ever been saying I made Red Velvet cupcakes even if it was in an EASY-BAKE oven.

I think it goes without saying that the EASY-BAKE Ultimate Oven would make a great gift for that special little girl (or boy!) on your list! Buy it on Walmart for $35  (retail is $49.99)
