 Nutrisystem: A Disappointing Week for Me #NSNation #ad%catagoryLet me be honest, this week was ROUGH… not really because of  Nutrisystem but just stressful and busy. I did not put enough energy in to taking care of myself and sticking with the program. I stress ate and let myself get too hungry and tired. So needless to say I lost no weight at all and am feeling pretty down about it. After 5 weeks I know that 10lbs is great but I just really want the  scale to keep moving. It is no one else’s fault but my own. I know this program works if I work it right but playoff baseball games, work stress, and vacation planning just got the best of me this weekend.

No I am not giving up … far from it. Each day on the program I learn more about myself and my habits. I am so much more aware about food than I have ever been in my life. I see myself making smarter choices without even realizing it.

I like all the food on Nutrisystem even if the portions seem small to me. I know that it is what I need and nothing more. Changing my habits has been and will continue to be hard but I really want to feel good about myself and make my family proud.

Hopefully, next week I will have more to be proud of. We leave for vacation tomorrow and I am worried about being able to travel and enjoy myself while on Nutrisystem. We shall see how it goes.

Can I just tell you what a difference 10 pounds makes! My clothes fit better, my face is slimmer (among other places as well!) and my confidence is slowly coming back!

I noticed my weight loss slowing down a bit this week which is typical for me. I attribute it too being too lenient with myself and not following the plan to the letter like I should. I continue to drink plenty of water and exercise by walking the stairs a lot around work BUT halfway through the week I ran out of fruit and veggies. I should not have let that happen because those are what keep me full between meals.

I have been enjoying the protein shakes that are part of the Nutrisystem program. They definitely help me get through the morning without binging on something “bad”. I enjoy the Coffee flavor and they area quick and easy addition to my breakfast routine.

But all in all I am proud of my progress. I just try to keep my goal in site. 20 lbs to go!

 Nutrisystem Week 3 #Nutrisystem #ad%catagory Three weeks of Nutrisystem down! 2 more lbs gone for a total of 9 so far! UGGGGGH I will be honest I was really hoping to hit 10lbs this week! At ten lbs I promised myself a special reward for all my hard work. Not sure yet what it will be but I am thinking some perfume or a new pair of jeans…. maybe some shoes.

This week I learned a lot about myself and my habits. Water is super important both on and off Nutrisystem and I have learned that I LOVE to drink water. I am a camel! I carry around a bottle all day and just sip away. It keeps me from snacking on nonsense since I keep myself occupied and I feel fuller. My rule of thumb (that I have no idea where I learned but never forget) is you should drink half your weight in water everyday… That is a lot of water!

I also learned that when I am tired I want junk and lots of it. My mind gets racing about all the junk I want to put in my body. I try not to let my mind go there very often but when fatigue hits it is hard for me not too. So let me just say how important getting lots of rest is!

I added lots of fruit and veggies in during the day and I am starting to see the impact the diet is having on my body. I am excited! This system really works if you let it (and it is not easy to let yourself sometimes… I know!)

This week my favorite Nutrisystem meal item was the Cinnamon Struesel Muffin. Yummy and filling!

But all in all I am proud of my progress. I just try to keep my goal in site. 21 lbs to go!

Nutrisystem: Week 2

Two weeks of Nutrisystem down! 2 more lbs gone for a total of 7 so far!

Ok so maybe not the best week but definitely nothing to flinch at! We had a birthday to celebrate this week so I went a little off track for one meal but other than that I was ok.

I need to step up the exercise a bit but I have been busy, busy, busy!

Last time I was on Nutrisystem I really loved their frozen pizza and I still do! This week the rest of my family was enjoying delivery pizza so I had to have pizza too. Luckily Nutrisystem has a good pizza option to help me not to cheat.

I found it hard to work Nutrisystem around my schedule this week since we had to baseball games right around dinner time. The snack bar was calling out to me! I need to make sure I pack some fruits, veggies, and bars to get me through the times I am not at home.

But all in all I am proud of my progress. I just try to keep my goal in site. 23lbs to go!

Nutrisystem Week 1

One week of Nutrisystem down! Here is the info I know you want… How much did I lose? Drum roll please…. 5 lbs!

I am so excited. Yes, the first few days were difficult. I was hungry but now a week later I can say that I am doing good! I feel like I am eating all the time. To help to not cheat, I eat every three hours or so. I have a meal, then a snack and so on. Lots of fruit and veggies. I notice that the veggies keep me fuller longer. I have been drinking tons and tons of water as well. Salads are one of my new best friends!

My favorite item this week was the Cinnamon Bun (frozen). Yes, it is small but it is so yummy!

This week I found out about the Nutrisystem app and I have found it a very useful tool. On the app, you can track food, water intake, exercise, measurements and even journal about your journey! This app is free to download. You will need a Nutrisystem login to check it out. I definitely recommend if you go on this plan that you download the app to make sure you are following the program like you should be.

I feel pretty good about this week and am looking forward to losing even more! 25lbs to go!
