Count Chocula, Boo Berry and Franken Berry will only be available from September 26-October 31 at your local Target checkout aisle.

The Monster Cereals combine chocolaty, blueberry and strawberry flavored cereal with colorful marshmallow shapes that kids and adults enjoy. Each serving of the playful, monster-themed cereals are low in fat with no cholesterol or saturated fat. Count Chocula, Boo Berry and Franken Berry are a good source of calcium, whole grain and nine other essential vitamins and minerals.

Here are some fun facts about Monster Cereals:

· Count Chocula is a vampire who prefers chocolate to blood

· Count Chocula tagline- “I vant to eat your cereal!”

· In the 1980’s the Count Chocula character was ‘re-stylized’ and new boxes were introduced (including a set where Count Dracula- Bela Lagosi- is chasing a terrified Count Chocula)

· In 1993, another character overhaul returned the Count Chocula image to resemble his former self –large early, pointy nose & fingers; long, thin fingers etc.

· Count Chocula cereal (along with other Monster Cereals) sales double in October

· Franken Berry is a cuddly, pink version of the Frankenstein monster

· Franken Berry is afraid of BooBerry

· To this day, Franken Berry still wears the same clothes that he wore when we was first created

· The voice of Boo Berry was based on that of Peter Lorre- the voice was provided by Paul Frees who was also the voice of the Pillsbury Doughboy and Frosty the Snowman
