The Best Places To Find Coupons – My Tips and Best Places To Start Your Hunt

Coupons are everywhere, you just have to know where to look and you will begin finding coupons just about everywhere you go. I am going to list all the best places I know of to find coupons so you can become a great coupon hunter!

1. The Sunday Newspaper – Yes, I know this is a very obvious one so I figured I would get it out of the way right away. The Sunday paper has tons of coupons in it. I recommend asking around to friends and family and see if they mind giving you their coupons if they are not fellow couponers (why the heck wouldn’t they be?) but if they aren’t you could pick up some extra coupons from them.

2. Snail Mail – The mail brings you tons of coupons as well. CVS has been known to mail coupons on occasion. Red Plum also mails out a coupon insert to areas where their inserts do not come in the Sunday paper. There is also Valupak and in my area Clipper magazine which always has a Kroger coupon for $5 off a $75 purchase.

3.) Online sources – now there are a ton of online sources for coupons but my personal favorite is coupons.com. Coupons.com loads new coupons at least once a month and recently they have even had coupons for DVDs and toys available.

Here is a list of all the online printable coupon sites that I am aware of and trust. It is important to trust the online coupon sites that you print from because coupon fraud has been increasing in the recent years. The printable coupons need to have a watermark in order for most stores to accept them so look out for that when you print.

4.) E-coupons- E coupons are another great way to save without having to spend much of your time. E-coupons are electronic coupons that get loaded directly on to your store loyalty card from the website. You choose which coupons you want loaded on to your card and voila! – when you check out the coupons get deducted from your total when you buy the specific item!

Here are the e-coupons sites available now:

4.) Brand Websites & Newsletters – I can’t stress enough how many coupons I get directly from brand websites and their email newsletters. If you like a brand I recommend you head over to their website and sign up for their newsletter. More often that not the site will have coupons or their newsletter will come with coupons included in it. I recommend sites like Kraft and Pillsbury to start of with.

5.) Emailing or writing companies – Many people and I myself can vouch for the effectiveness of emailing companies being and effective way to get product coupons. I have found that by either writing to complement a company about a product or writing a company to let them know about a issue or problem you have had with a product are both ways to possibly get coupons. By no means am I saying to lie to get free coupons. I am simply saying if you like a product, then tell the company or if you think they can do something better then let them know. You may find a pleasant surprise in your mailbox. A more direct approach has worked for some – you could simply ask if they have any coupons they want to send you, since you are interested in their product.Save on all the things you love to do!

6.) Entertainment Books – These books are filled with coupons and deals specialized for your specific area. Local restaurants, fast food, businesses and more all have coupons included in these books. You can take a look at what’s available in your city’s book online. There are tons of BOGO coupons that really save on meals and specials outings for the family.

7.) All You and other magazines – Time Inc. publishes a magazine that all coupon users should have a subscription to. The magazine which is sold exclusively at Wal-Mart stores is called All You and it is packed full of coupons that can be used anywhere (not just Wal-Mart), The coupons are for all sorts of products like food, make-up, cleaning products – you name it! Many magazines have coupons in them, not near as many as All You, but Good Housekeeping and Family Circle usually have a few in them as well, so keep your eyes peeled.

8.) In the grocery store – Don’t forget to check the aisles, the customer service desk and right when you walk in the doors of your grocery store for more coupons. Lately, when I walk in the door to my local store they have handed me coupons to use that day. Check on and around products for coupons as well. Keep your eyes open and you will be surprised what you will find.

9) On receipts – I know the last place you want to look is at your receipt after you paid but I really recommend you do. A new trend at places like Target and many grocery stores is to give coupons as part of your receipt. So make sure to look and see what you get attached to your receipt. Just make sure to look at the expiration date because it seems to me that these expire very quickly.

10.) In samples and freebies you get in the mail – if you are at this site it probably means that you get lots of freebies and samples in your mailbox (and if your not and you want to be then check out my freebie section). Make sure to check all your freebies and samples for coupons because often times they come with high value coupons included. I love the diaper and pull up samples because they always come with great coupons!

So in closing I hope this helps all of my fellow coupon hunters to think of some new ways to track down coupons. Hopefully I have inspired some new coupon users as well to give coupons a try. I would love it if you would pass this article on to someone who could use it. Feel free to add any links you think would be useful.

Happy Couponing!
